Emerging data use cases at the Ministry of the Interior
Innovation and Data Sub-Directorate of the French Ministry of the Interior (SDID)
The Ministry of the Interior's Sub-Directorate for Innovation and Data supports the professions by providing a framework as well as technological and methodological foundations to improve the day-to-day lives of agents and create better services for citizens.
Background & Objectives
As part of the transformation of the French Ministry of the Interior, SDID wants to boost the culture of innovation, adopt new working methods and adapt its internal processes.
The SDID has therefore planned a series of events to promote acculturation and the emergence of innovation, and has asked for support in making these events a success.
The objectives of the mission were to :
- Frame, prepare and lead the 3 events in the innovation sequence organized by SDID: UX Days, Data Days and the Innovathon,
- Transfer collective intelligence skills to internal coaches to help teams grow,
- Oversee innovation practices and support the SDID team in improving the support process for projects resulting from the intrapreneurship program.
Support for the innovation process
Dynergie's support began with an immersion phase in the SDID teams to understand the challenges and current innovation practices. A Dynergie expert in facilitation and innovation then took charge of organizing the 3 events.
These events were co-constructed in close collaboration with SDID teams. Skills-building sessions for in-house coaches were organized prior to the events to enhance the facilitation system.
Dynergie oversaw the definition of themes, the construction and preparation of workshops, the recruitment of coaches, and the on-site logistical organization to deliver a qualitative event experience.
The success of this project.
3 events in 3 months.
Up to 7 coaches per event over 3 successive months to run the UX Days (September), Data Days (October) and Innovathon (November). Pairings between Dynergie coaches and customer coaches ensured high quality team support.
Unique moments of exchange and sharing.
Business departments accustomed to working in silos came together to explore opportunities for collaboration and exploration.
Concrete projects resulting from the events.
The events enabled participants from the Group's business lines to experience innovation in a way they were not accustomed to, and to identify use cases that will be explored as part of the intrapreneurship program.
To conclude.
Dynergie's support was part of a global innovation approach, covering a series of events and the subsequent intrapreneurship program.
